HYBRID ROLE – Tax Manager w/ Private Equity Firm

Job Description
• Oversee annual fund tax compliance processes, including coordination with external tax advisors and service providers.
• Review of federal, state, and international tax returns for private equity funds, general partner entities, blocker corporations, partnerships, special purpose entities, and seller representative entities
• Review partnership and tax waterfall allocations, K-1 reporting, and investor tax reporting requirements.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation affecting private equity funds and investment structures.
• Provide guidance on recapitalizations, dividend distributions, divestitures, and exit transactions. This includes calculating necessary withholding requirements
• Collaborate with management teams and external advisors on tax matters impacting the funds and portfolio companies.
• Manage FATCA and CRS reporting obligations for investment funds.
• Manage partnership tax compliance for the management company and affiliated entities. This includes reviewing federal and multi-state income tax filings
• Oversee quarterly tax estimates, partner distributions, and related tax calculations.
• Manage annual Forms 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC reporting processes.
• Support partner tax planning and compliance matters.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• CPA required Experience
• 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, private equity, or investment management.
• Strong experience with partnership taxation and private equity fund structures.
