Activate sewing machine to join, gather hem, reinforce or decorate materials or fabricated articles such as linens, bedding, or pillows. Positions materials through feed rollers and guides, or positions and maneuvers under sewing machine pressure foot and needle during operation. Examines and measures finished articles to verify conformance to standards, using ruler. Places spools of thread, cord or other materials on spindles, inserts bobbin, and threads end through machine guides and components. Removes finished materials from sewing machine. Tapes or twists together thread or cord to repair breaks. Replaces needles and make minor adjustments as needed to machine. Physical/Mental activities are considered essential to job. Reaching and lifting for the specifics stated above. Repetitive motions required. Sitting required for the duration of the shift. Basic knowledge of the Lead Tec terminal required. Safety goggles are required when using the air hose for cleaning.
