Martens Ace Hardware is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to lead our team. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, drive sales and profitability, develop and motivate staff, and ensure outstanding customer service while upholding company standards and brand values.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
• Drive sales performance by setting and achieving targets, analyzing key metrics (sales, conversion, average transaction value, inventory turns), and implementing action plans.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve escalated customer concerns to protect and enhance the brand reputation.
• Manage inventory accuracy, stock levels, shrinkage prevention, and product presentation according to visual standards.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and loss-prevention procedures.
• Control store expenses and labor costs while maximizing profitability.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail management experience (store manager or assistant manager level required).
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and operational targets.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Excellent customer service orientation and conflict-resolution ability.
• Solid understanding of retail metrics, inventory management, and P&L basics.
• Proficiency with POS systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
